How much does vinyl flooring fitting cost?
My vinyl flooring fitting prices are simple and transparent. See the breakdown below for typical labour costs — kitchens, bathrooms, utilities and hallways.
What you pay depends on the size of the room, whether old flooring needs lifting, and any door bars or trims required. I don't ply sub-floors — if the sub-floor needs ply-boarding I'll flag it at the free measure so you can arrange a joiner beforehand.
Vinyl fitting prices
Labour-only estimates. Vinyl and materials are separate.
| Job | Typical labour cost |
|---|---|
| Vinyl fitting | £4.50 per m² (minimum charge £70 for rooms up to 15 m²) |
| Old vinyl uplift (per room) | £20 |
| Door bar / threshold trim (each) | £6 |
Prices assume standard access. I uplift old vinyl but do not remove or dispose of it. Call for a firm price on non-standard jobs.
Is it cheaper to supply your own vinyl?
Often yes. Many customers buy vinyl online from Flooring Superstore, Carpetright, Amazon or eBay, or from a local shop, and just hire me to fit it. I fit only, so you keep the supplier and only pay for my labour and any prep work needed.
I can measure up first for you — vinyl comes in fixed widths (usually 2m, 3m or 4m) so measuring correctly avoids waste. Free measures across Darlington and the North East.
